Superior Blasting, Inc. is seeking a full-time bulk truck operator. By joining our team, we will work continually to balance your skill sets and passions that will contribute to the growth of our company.
Job Responsibilities:
- Operate trucks including but not limited to, bulk, water, dump, and end dump trucks
- Bring explosive products to the blast area
- Pump explosives into the boreholes or buckets
- Keep accurate records of inventory of products brought to the shot as well as products returned at the end of the day
- Perform truck inspections, maintenance, and small repairs as needed
- Efficiently keep up on all Department of Transportation (DOT) and company compliant paperwork
- Assist with blasting operations as needed
- Follow all Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations
- Take appropriate actions to avoid potential hazards or obstructions, such as utility lines, other equipment and workers, or falling objects
- Clean and prepare construction sites and work areas to eliminate possible hazards
- Able to adjust to a variety of duties and willingness to perform any duties assigned
- Adhere to OSHA and MSHA safety policies and follow strict company safety protocols in order to maintain a safe work environment
Requirements and Qualifications:
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Class B Commercial Driver License (CDL) with Hazard, Airbrakes, and Tanker endorsements
- No DUIs, and no more than 3 moving violations and/or chargeable accidents
- Strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and ability to work around heavy equipment
- Pass pre-employment drug test. We have a zero- tolerance drug policy
- Pass the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives (ATF) background screening; must be felony free
- Must be able to work with a team, take direction from supervisors, communicate effectively, keep required work schedules, focus attention on detail, and follow work rules
- Capable of heavy lifting and working in remote, loud, or varying weather conditions
Bonus Qualifications, preferred not required:
- Able to operate a manual transmission
- Class A CDL
- Department of Transportation (DOT) Medical certificate
- OSHA 10 certificate
