I had talked with the previous owners about getting her back, I was told to wait till she foaled out that February and we could continue the process. I contacted again and found out the company had changed hands and she was still there, but they were not selling. This was years ago. I still try to contact. I’ve offered to find mares to trade for her as well as have offered to buy her back. Now over the course of the last few years I’ve seen multiple people post looking for information about mares with the oxbow brands that they’ve bought had purchased from sales. So, I’m not sure if she’s gone through the sales or not.
We are still holding out hope to get her back. She was my daughter’s first horse and I get to hear how much she misses her horse every time she sees a paint horse of the same color. Our family has missed her since I made the stupid decision to let her go to Oxbow. But, at the time, it was the best decision for us and for Rosie.
If you bought her at a sale or have had her as a recipient, please let us know. We just want to know how she’s doing and my daughter would love to see her again.
I don’t know her brand number, but these are pictures of her. She’s about 14.2hh at most, a petite little mare.
Please no lecture about “just let her go” I don’t want to hear it. I’ve gotten it over and over again through the years.
