I only mixed down maybe ten songs with this thing. It is a 1/2 track which means it only records in one direction so it takes advantage of the whole with of the tape for professional results. It will not play regular reel to reel tapes that you flip over to play the other side. It has very little time on it, it is just old and the belts disintegrate over time so it needs a belt. Everything light up and you can hear the capstan motor running but it is not turning. (Like I said. it needs a belt) There is a you tube video that shows you how to do it and the belt is cheap, I'm just too lazy to do it. DBX unit comes with it as well with full price offer.
