1999 first edition G+L Comanche for sale by original owner. Custom "burgundy burst" finish as ordered from G+L. G+L is the company formed by Leo Fender and his long time partner George Fullerton after he was released from his deal with CBS to not compete following the sale of Fender to CBS in 1966. This guitar comes with the original hard case for $1325.
The Comanche was one of Leo Fender's great last projects in guitar design. The versitility of the "Z-coil" pick-up design gives players amazing tonal options. Pictured here is a S 500 "Z-coil" pick-up diagram faxed to me via G+L Guitar at the time it was shipped on November 23, 1999.
It's a great, unique guitar, in excellent condition, which deserves to be played more than I currently have time to do.
