Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Experienced CNC Machinist to join our dynamic manufacturing team. In this role, you will operate, set up, and program CNC (Computer Numerical Control) machines to produce precision parts with efficiency and accuracy. Your expertise in machining processes, blueprint interpretation, and technical troubleshooting will be essential to ensuring high-quality output that meets strict specifications. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to innovative manufacturing projects while working with advanced equipment and technology.
Responsibilities
Operate CNC milling machines, CNC lathes, and other machining equipment such as CNC grinders and wire EDM (Electrical Discharge Machining) tools to produce complex components.
Program CNC machines using CAM (Computer-Aided Manufacturing) software and verify programs through simulation before production runs.
Read and interpret detailed blueprints, technical drawings, GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) specifications, and engineering documents to ensure precise fabrication.
Set up tooling, fixtures, and calibration devices like bore gauges, micrometers, calipers, and coordinate measuring machines (CMM) for accurate machining processes.
Conduct quality checks using precision measuring instruments to verify dimensions and tolerances throughout production.
Troubleshoot machining issues promptly by adjusting machine parameters or tooling to optimize performance.
Maintain a clean and organized work area while adhering to safety protocols; operate hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment as needed for assembly or repairs.
Support lean manufacturing initiatives by identifying process improvements and reducing waste.
Qualifications
Proven experience as an CNC Machinist with proficiency in programming CNC milling machines and CNC lathes, especially Fanuc controls or similar systems.
Strong mechanical knowledge combined with the ability to read blueprints, CAD (Computer-Aided Design), and SolidWorks models.
Skilled in GD&T principles for precise measurement and quality assurance of machined parts.
Familiarity with electrical discharge machining (EDM), plastics injection molding processes, and welding techniques is a plus.
Competence in using precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, and coordinate measuring machines (CMM).
Basic math skills for calculating dimensions, feeds, speeds, and tolerances accurately.
Ability to operate forklift trucks safely within a manufacturing environment.
Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles to enhance efficiency and reduce waste.
Strong attention to detail with excellent problem-solving skills; ability to work independently or collaboratively in a fast-paced setting. Join our team if you’re passionate about precision machining and eager to contribute your expertise in a vibrant manufacturing environment!
