Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Direct Support Professional to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential support to individuals with disabilities, helping them achieve greater independence and improve their quality of life. Your work will involve assisting clients in their daily activities, promoting their well-being, and fostering a supportive environment that respects their rights and dignity.
Responsibilities
Assist clients with personal care tasks such as bathing, grooming, and dressing.
Support individuals in daily living activities, including meal preparation.
Administer medications as prescribed and monitor health conditions.
Provide assistance to individuals with dementia or autism, ensuring a safe and nurturing environment.
Maintain accurate records of client progress and communicate effectively with family members and healthcare providers.
Experience
Previous experience in home community care or social work is preferred, but not necessary.
Familiarity with medication administration protocols is beneficial.
Experience working with individuals with disabilities.
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build rapport with clients are essential.
