2 male Pekin ducks Charles & Henrietta looking for farm buddies because they are too much for my small flock. I have tried to make it work with them by separating them from the girls but now they are taking their hormonal frustrations out on each other. I want them to go to a nice place with more duck buddies their size.
They are low maintenance ducks and do an excellent job warning the flock when they see a hawk flying overhead. I pen them up at night and let them free range in my yard during the day. I don’t want them to go to someone with a tiny backyard or who will keep them in a small pen all the time. They are used to freedom to roam around if they want to. You will often find them basking in the sun or hanging out under a bush. They are totally content with shallow 6-8” pools. They dont care for big pools which makes things easy. They don’t put big holes in the yard and ruin grass like some other breeds. I have raised garden beds and they don’t mess with them. They enjoy treats like peas, green beans, tomatoes, leaves from Brussels sprout plants, broccoli, cucumbers, warm oatmeal in the winter. I am in Nampa.
Let me know if you are interested.
