Chickens Chicks Hens Egg Layers Red Star Sex-link - $7 (Nampa)

If you don't know the Red Star breed, it's a sex-link, brown egg layer. They start laying sooner than any other breed we've had. They are very docile and friendly, but also very winter hardy. So for Idaho it's the perfect choice for egg production. You'll get about 1 egg per day for 2+ years...then as all chicks, they start to slow down.
We will receive a shipment the last week of January and have some available if you are interested. Please reach out and let us know. When they arrive they will only a few days old...so please be prepared with a warm brooding space...at least until they are fully featured...then you can gradually acclimate to outside temps.
These chicks are a little more expensive than local hatcheries but you won't be disappointed...as many of our repeat customer will attest. At 7.50/EA we are not making a profit, just looking to recoup our cost to ship them here.
