1945 Ford 2N tractor for sale $450... a great buy. I NEED TO SELL THIS WEEK! I can deliver locally. Tractor has 3 point hookup. PTO with upgraded1 3/8" pto shaft. Has the desirable Sherman transmission. I bought this as a project tractor. I find that cylinders 2 and 4 have low compression. I have neither the tools nor the talent to resolve this issue... not an insurmountable problem, but beyond me. The tin is in pretty good shape. The grill needs a bit of attention. Radiator is in great condition, the tires are usable.
SIDEBAR: The 9N model was the first N series marketed by Ford. The 2N model was marketed during WW2 and was nicknamed the "War Horse". Research shows the 2N series was painted Dark Battleship Grey. Imagine that! This particular serial number was manufactured in early 1945. Due to war time rationing it highly probable that rubber tires were not available. These early '45 models likely had steel cleated wheels And then the 8N was marketed starting in 1947.
