11-year-old Draft Paint Mare

This mare is the kind that’s built to last — stout, strong, and ready to go to work. She is sound, healthy, barefoot, and has been used for trail riding, general riding, and putting miles on outside.
She is best suited for an experienced horse owner/rider. She is not dangerous in any way, but she can get a little pushy or sassy if someone lets her get away with things on the ground or under saddle. With a confident rider, she settles in nicely and goes to work.
No buck, rear, bite, or kick.
She has been hauled out on many trail rides and does great with water crossings. Some days she is happy to just walk the trail all day, while other days she can be a little more forward and want to trot out and move along. She is a fun ride for someone who enjoys a horse with a little personality and energy.
I truly think she would make somebody a fantastic using horse — a good cowboy horse, ranch horse prospect, or something to rope off of and put a lot of miles on. She is strong, steady, and has the build and mind to go all day.
If you’re looking for a fancy arena horse, she probably isn’t your girl. But if you want a solid mare with grit, substance, and potential to be an everyday partner, she’s worth a look.
