2005 registered thoroughbred gelding. We have had him in the family for 15 years and he is a very sweet lovable horse who loves to follow you around for pets and scratches. Good on the trails, in the mountains, loves water. Stands for the farrier, loads no problem. Our kids have ridden him and never had any issues.
He does have some plaque in his ears which means he doesn’t like them touched so we just have out the bridle on a special way. Vet has looked at him and other than not slipping the bridle over his ears, it doesn’t bother him.
Selling him as it seems the bigger our herd gets and the more mares we acquire, he’s becoming more challenging with not wanting the others horses to leave. He’s becoming more domineering and making it harder for our 3 kids to just get their mares in and out of the pasture. Outside of that he loves to go out and would make a great trail horse. He’s just a bit too much for our kids when they’re around him on the ground—not that he would hurt anyone intentionally but he’s just a big horse who doesn’t realize his size and strength.
