I am not sure if this should be posted in antiques, collectibles, electronics, or where exactly - but it is an incredibly rare bit of Broadway and theatrical lighting history.
What I have is one of the original Vari-Lite VL-6 lighting fixtures from the Broadway production of The Lion King. It even still has the “Disney Theatrical NY” inventory tag on it.
This not only represents a piece of this historic broadway production (currently Broadway’s third longest-running show in history, and the highest grossing Broadway production of all time), but also a technological milestone in stage lighting history. But my guess is that if you are looking at this, you are likely already familiar with this. Either way, this is a unique item for Disney fans, theatre fans, or technology fans.
Keep in mind that this gear is being offered purely for nostalgic, historical, or artistic purposes and is not recommended to be integrated into a live production. If you are familiar with the gear, you will understand that it requires an entire Vari-Lite infrastructure to operate anyway. That said, this fixture had been previously converted into being a static display piece with a color changing LED lamp source to mimic the original functionality without the need for a ballast rack or custom cabling. That said, I also have the original lamp, reflector, ignitor board, and a few other parts if you’d like to reassemble it to more closely represent its original form.
If this is something you are interested in, I also have a few other pieces from this production including one of the original Mini Artisan control consoles I am willing to part with.
