What a fun car … we call her “TWEETY”. The yellow color is unique to the 2003 version. 2003 was the first year of a four year build for these Baja’s. Not very many were made, which makes this a rare and desirable vehicle.
Tweety is fully loaded with all of the features of a new car. Sun roof, power everything, five speed manual transmission. I drive it to/from work (25miles round trip) every day. Freeway speed at 75 plus is easy. It is a little “hot rod”. Tweety is averaging 21 mpg on these daily trips.
Well maintained. Around the 125k odometer the following was done: tires, struts, alignment, rear main seal, water pump, timing, spark plugs, radiator, skid plate, brake rotors/pads, valve cover gaskets, spark plugs/wires, clutch, tranny, and battery. Complete detail this week.
Body, interior, engine bay, and truck bed are in really good condition. The hood does show “clear coat” coming off in areas. The top roof rails have about a five inch break on the ends. The bed has the optional “extension” rack that flips back when the tailgate is put down. It also has the optional tie-down mat. On the Baja’s, the rear seat folds down for a hard surface behind the front seat. It also has an opening behind the back seat into the bed, for extension of articles in the bed (this is a cool feature).
Do you want a fun commuter, a cool vehicle for your school trips, a kick-in-the-pants jaunt around town or the country? This is it!
Come touch it, drive it, slobber on it. Then get out your Ben Franklin’s and take this yellow car/pickup/unique home.
