About the Role

We are seeking a Client Account Specialist to serve as the primary point of contact for customers and support sales, account management, and in-house marketing efforts. This role is customer-facing and combines front counter sales, outbound outreach, order coordination, and relationship management. The ideal candidate is organized, personable, and comfortable handling both inbound customer needs and proactive sales follow-up. This position plays a key role in customer satisfaction, repeat business, and local market growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as the first point of contact for walk-in, phone, and email customers
• Assess customer needs and recommend appropriate signage solutions
• Prepare quotes and assist customers through the ordering process
• Process customer orders accurately, including work orders, approvals, and deposits
• Notify customers when orders are complete and ready for pickup
• Send thank-you communications and follow up to ensure customer satisfaction

• Conduct outbound calls to existing customers, new business listings, direct mail and marketing
lists, and no-activity or lapsed customers
• Follow up on outstanding quotes
• Prospect for new customers using directories, lead groups, and local publications
• Obtain referrals and ensure proper follow-up and documentation

• Execute in-house marketing initiatives including direct mail campaigns, customer reactivation mailings, club member communications, and bi-monthly promotional campaigns
• Follow up with top customer accounts
• Maintain and update customer contact information for future outreach
• Implement marketing strategies in coordination with ownership or marketing leadership

• Work closely with production staff to answer questions related to active work orders
• Coordinate with vendors to obtain quotes and track orders in progress
• Support ownership with reports, invoicing, close-outs, and daily, weekly, and monthly paperwork
• Cross-train in other store functions to ensure smooth daily operations
• Maintain a clean, organized, and professional store appearance
• Participate in quality control and order accuracy checks
• Other duties as assigned

• Previous experience in customer service and/or sales
• Comfortable with basic math, measurements, and order documentation
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Basic computer proficiency (Windows, Microsoft Office, POS or accounting systems)
• Ability to type, enter data accurately, and manage multiple tasks
• Willingness to complete required assessments during the hiring process

• Experience in a sign shop, print shop, or graphics-related environment
• Telemarketing or outbound sales call experience
• Familiarity with CRM, POS, or customer databases

• Comfortable multitasking in a fast-paced environment

• Ability to stand for extended periods
