Wonderful HB Quimper Cookie or Biscuit Jar in soleil yellow background which is so delightful featuring the cute little breton lady holding a bouquet of flowers on the front. Birds flying in background and a la touche florals around allover top cover and base. If your decorating french.. this would look beautiful in formal or country french kitchen, dining room, etc. I'm downsizing so selling this platter and some other pieces. This is an earlier piece from the De La Hubaudiere Factory. This was signed with the HB marking from 1860-1942. It measures approx. 7" tall to top finial handle and 8.75" widest from end of handle to handle. It weighs 2 pounds and 10 ounces. Estimated from the 20's or 30's era. This is wonderful featuring the Breton Lady holding flower bouquet and has a la touche florals allover, birds, hash marks etc. It is in good condition with Considering age in good condition.. There is one small repair on the upper rim edge of the base that is small area about 1/4" and not readily noticeable and one tiny nibble on the inner lip edge of the cover. (You can see this in the last photo and the repair is at the 3 o'clock position.) This does not distract from overall presentation and hardly noticeable until closer examination (see last 2 photos). Sorry photos don't do justice and some flash or shadow glares.. looks much better in person.
