Suspension stoker seat post. Arai mechanical drag brake (drum), Shimano 21spd LX tandem cranks. XT rear derailleur, XTR front derailleur, DuraAce bar end shifters, LX V-brakes, Velocity dyad 36H rims.
In 2009 the bike was refreshed with complete service, cables, etc and the Velocity rims were laced up at that time. The tires are of that vintage and need replacing. After this service the bike was ridden in a 100k event in May ‘09 and possibly 100 miles after that. The rims are in excellent condition.
If in the market for a tandem, this is a solid one with good bones. I bought it new in 1998 and put it to good use for many years. My current wife cannot fit it so it must go. Included with the sale is a Yakima tandem mount which is a material benefit if you don’t already have one…
