This item comes from my mother's estate and she was 94 years young and recently returned to heaven. She received this beautiful doll from her mother (my grandmother) who was born in 1912 and died in 1974. If my grandmother was alive she would be 112 years old. See all pictures. This is a beautiful harder to find French Flapper Doll from 1920's or 19 teens. She is made of cloth and composition Head, Torso, Legs and Hands. She measures 29" long and is dressed in a light pinkish satin like dress and upper portion covered with a silverish lavender purplis lace shawl top with a small mother of pearl button to fasten it to her. I believe the dress is original and everything else appears all original. There is one repair to her right ankle and her left wrist. They are old repairs (see pictures). The dress has not been washed for decades so could use a pick me up and it appears to be fastened with two safety pins. If you want to preserve this some alteration to fasten it properly is needed but fine as is. There is some aging of the composition but mostly hidden under cloth and is NOT STRUCTURAL.. "ONLY COMSMETIC" and does not readily affect value. Easy fix if you are a purist. Considering she is 90 - 115 years old she is considered to be in original good condition. Also she appears to have her original platinum blonde hair... I believe it is mohair but I'm not 100% certain.
For your info: I DO NOT SELL on Ebay or Etsy, etc. Too much hassle for me to box, ship and run to Post Office so my price is a give away price. I am 72 years old and on oxygen. Items are from a smoke, pet and child free home.
