50's JAPANESE STYLE ITALIAN MADE CELLARETTE CHEST OR SEWING CABINET - $95 (Nampa, IDAHO)

This cellarette cabinet comes from my mother's estate and she was 94 years young and passed away recently. These are very seldom ever found so is a wonderful offering for someone and special treasure to love. MY PICTURES ARE AWFUL and do no justice to the details and colors of this cabinet. It is much more vivid orangish background with nice black and gold hand painted designs. The paintings are oriental theme with Quan yin or Geisha Lady, Pagoda, Swans, Cherry Trees, Butterflies, Flowers, hatching design, etc. The first two images I took in the kitchen were slightly better but again LOOKS MUCH BETTER IN PERSON. See all pictures. This has a lock but could not find key however you can take chest to locksmith and they can make new key or replace the lock for you if you desire. It consists of 3 pieces. (See Last photo). (1) The inside compartment tray slides from left to right side and is removeable. (2) The hinged top compartment and then (3) the lower leg base which the chest fits perfectly into. It measures overall 27" tall, is 14" wide (from left to right side) and is approx. 11" from front to back. Mom used it as a sewing and knitting chest but can be used for anything and even a liquor cellarette. It is Stamped "MADE IN ITALY" on the underside of the chest. It has no structural damages and very little if any wear excepting one small area on the front side which could be true to original manufacture. Looks like a linear impression about 3 inches long and 1/16" wide. Does not affect value or overall presentation but noted for accuracy (could be easily filled and repainted over to not show). This would be a wonderful gift for yourself, your mom or grandmother or wife, your daughter, sister or someone special in you life. AGAIN PHOTOS ARE PATHETIC AND LOOKS MUCH BETTER IN PERSON. It's very lightweight and easy to move around as the top disconnects from the base stand.
