The doors are are re-purposed as cabinet doors. The pair is crafted of northern elm and finished with dark black lacquer and hand-worked iron hardware. Bands of studded iron reinforce the fronts and simple iron plates secure the door latch. The round door pulls are held by the mouths of a pair of the mythical creature Pixiu. The iron details have aged beautifully over the years, with a richly textured patina and light oxidation. This set of courtyard doors is made into the doors of a matching cabinet with internal drawers.
