Don't be afraid of the technology. It's not hard to learn how to sell in the industry of you're not part of it. We sell to a VAR network (Value Added Reseller) and not direct to the end-user. This allows for multiple sales as the VAR sells directly to the customer. This also provides you with the ability to get residual sales as your VARS sell to the customer. Telco or carrier services bring monthly residuals based on a customers phone usage as does the hosted PBX solution.
We are hiring two types of reps, those with industry experience and those who require training. Because of this there will be two different types of compensation. Those with experience will have a base pay that will be based on experience and sales ability and those who will be commissioned only on a 1099. We provide a low front-end and a high back-end to sales reps. Those coming in on commission only will set their own hours and after a trial period will be brought on as full time employees with full benefits if they can demonstrate the ability to sell. This process may take from 30 to 90 days depending on your ability to learn the technology and industry. The more effort you place on developing your skills will provide a faster reward.
This position requires training and self development if you are coming from another industry. Those that make the grade can expect a high return and pay/commission from the time taken to learn the industry, products and competitors products. You'll be expected to devote time in learning as well as getting training.
Commissions for 1099 contractors are calculated based on the amount of the profitability of the sale. Sales commissions are continuous as you are selling directly to a reseller and at 20 percent until you reach 50,000 dollars in commissions and drops to 15 percent from there without a cap. The account becomes your account and residual sales are what you are working with as they sell and deploy more systems. A rep is expected to earn between 50,000 dollars and over six figures depending on their ability to cultivate a VAR and assist them in making more sales to their customer base with our product. Past representatives before our move west made an average of 78,000 per year in year one.
Base and commission reps will compensated based on experience and industry knowledge. A full time employee receives full company benefits including medical and dental. Commissions are calculated the same as a 1099 employee but at 15% and then 10% afterward with no cap.
