Our house is a 2 story, 3 BR, 2 Bath with hot water showers (not always available in Costa Rica), with a huge "rancho" (enclosed front porch with thatched roof). It also has a brand new addition in the back - a fully screened room with tiled floor and counter tops where we do most of our cooking. It also has large beautifully tiled shower room where you can wash all that sand off after a day at the beach. The house is perfectly set up for a business, too. The rancho could be turned into a much needed internet cafe (we have high speed), coffee shop, gift shop, or whatever. The town is small and the people would be thrilled with any new business in town.

It is in Playa Zancudo across the Golfo Dulce from the very popular Osa Peninsula. This is not a resort area. It is a quiet fishing village where common folks live and work. There are other North Americans that live there, but fortunately, no one has tried to turn it into a high-rise paradise! There are rarely many people on the beach. We swim many days where we are the only ones on the entire beach. The water is bathwater warm and very safe to swim in. Many areas of Costa Rica have rip tides, but this is one place that does not. If surfing is your thing, you only have to drive about 7 or 8 minutes to a great surfing beach. The world famous surfing beach of Pavones which has the 2nd largest left hand wave in the world is just 14 kilometers away!
