JOB DESCRIPTION:<br>

This position will be for a working supervisor who can provide direct leadership and hands-on assistance in the overall operation and maintenance of a new membrane filtration water treatment system which includes Pall membrane filtration units, river intake, raw water pump station, storage reservoirs and booster pump stations. The selected individual must have a State of Idaho Grade Level III Water Treatment License or be able to obtain such license within 60 days. The selected individual will also be responsible to operate, monitor, and maintain the City’s water treatment plant system and related equipment to provide safe quality drinking water at adequate pressure throughout the community. The principle duties for this position are performed in an office, treatment plant and outdoors as required.<br>
<br>
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES<br>
Overall responsibilities include direct control of water treatment plant operations in accordance with all State and Federal regulations, standards, and procedures. The position will report to the Superintendent of Public Works.<br>
Duties Include the Following:<br>
1. Operate and maintain entire water treatment system and storage facilities and serve as a working supervisor.<br>
2. Ensure sufficient potable water is supplied to users to satisfy public health and safety requirements including residential, commercial, industrial and fire fighting requirements.<br>
3. Supervise a staff of up to three water treatment plant operators, prepare work schedules, prepare routine maintenance schedules, and make work assignments.<br>
4. Monitor and analyze computerized data collection and operating systems.<br>
5. Develop process control strategies, analyze lab data and initiate control changes to maximize treatment efficiencies.<br>
6. Interface with the City’s water engineering consultants to ensure proper and safe operation of the treatment plant.<br>
7. Perform preventive maintenance checks and procedures on plant equipment.<br>
8. Order and purchase supplies, chemical and other expendable goods required for the operation of the facility.<br>
9. Determine proper chemical dosages to meet treatment objectives.<br>
10. Develop and make recommendations of policies and procedures for safe, efficient and compliant operation of the water treatment plant to the Superintendent of Public Works.<br>
11. Forecast personnel and equipment requirements for establishing annual operating budgets.<br>
12. Monitor staff training records to ensure adequate training requirements are maintained.<br>
13. Conduct daily water quality and control testing to determine the composition of both raw and finished water.<br>
14. Conduct tours for visitors.<br>
15. Record test results charts and log sheets and maintain logs/records of plant systems.<br>
16. Investigate water quality complaints.<br>
17. Assist in long-range construction and capital improvement planning.<br>
18. Prepare mandatory reports and operating data to comply with State and Federal regulatory agencies.<br>
19. Perform plant, building and grounds maintenance of treatment plant and reservoir sites.<br>
20. Supervise water treatment operators and other associated City staff. Prepare work schedules and make work assignments.<br>
21. Ensure that staff is informed of and performs in accordance with the City of Fruitland policies and procedures.<br>
22. Supervise studies and/or evaluations to increase plant efficiencies.<br>
23. Coordinate and work an on-call shift to ensure that an in-charge or substitute in-charge water treatment operator is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week.<br>

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS<br>
High school diploma or GED supplemented by vocational/technical training in water treatment plant operations and water distribution systems with five (5) years supervisory experience involving water treatment plant, operations and equipment maintenance or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience which provides the requisite knowledge, skills, and abilities for this job. Must possess and maintain a valid State of Idaho Grade Level III Water Treatment License or be able to obtain such license within 60 days of hire. Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record and have the ability to maintain insurability under the City’s vehicle insurance policy. A Class A CDL is preferred.<br>

We are currently seeking a qualified District Coordinator to oversee the Advantage Point Learning tutoring program in Nampa and Caldwell. Candidates MUST be fluent in English and Spanish.<br>
<br>
This is an 8-month position: October – May.  Position resumes each fall.<br>
<br>
District Coordinator Responsibilities:<br>
•	Plan, organize, and execute a marketing and communication program to include: community outreach, parent communication, provider fairs, informational meetings, etc.<br>
•	Manage distribution of marketing collateral<br>
•	Meet student enrollment targets (bonus according to performance)<br>
•	Offer presentations during informational sessions about our services<br>
•	Direct the administration of the Advantage Point Learning tutoring program for the assigned district<br>
•	Supervise and support instruction staff<br>
•	Advise instruction staff regarding student performance and curriculum needs<br>
•	Perform daily school site visits<br>
•	Maintain strong communication with the appropriate district staff<br>
•	Monitor student attendance, billing, and student tracking.<br>
•	Be responsible for student attendance and retention levels (bonus according to performance)<br>
•	Manage expenses<br>
•	Compile data for reports<br>

Qualifications:<br>
•	Bachelor’s degree <br>
•	Sales/marketing experience strongly preferred.<br>
•	Experience in administrative leadership related to program planning, development, coordinator, monitoring, and compliance.  At least one year managing staff is preferred.  SES experience strongly preferred.<br>
•	Strong leadership and motivational skills.<br>
•	Experience working with students.<br>
•	Highly energetic personality with demonstrated success in driving decisions and striving for results.<br>
•	Creative problem-solving skills.<br>
•	Excellent interpersonal, verbal, written, presentation and organizational skills.<br>
•	Ability to work independently.<br>
•	Proficient with Microsoft Office, especially Word and Excel.<br>
•	Must have scheduling flexibility.  Evening hours are required.<br>
•	Must have valid driver’s license and own vehicle.<br>
•	Must speak English and Spanish fluently.<br>

Position is 20-40 hours per week, depending on the number of students enrolled.  Compensation is $16-$18 per hour plus monthly performance bonuses, average $200-400.<br>
